OUR CONSERVATION INITIATIVES

AROUND THE WORLD

ABOUT OUR CONSERVATION INITIATIVES

When we first conceived of the KACF, we tried to identify major species around the world that are critically endangered.  By helping these umbrella species, we found we could also help smaller species and entire ecosystems.  Unfortunately, we quickly realized that unless we attacked the root cause, these animals and their environments were hopelessly doomed to an extinction event.

By helping the local communities where these endangered animals live, and giving them a reason to preserve the animals and the environment, we could create sustainable products for the communities and a thriving tourism industry that both support and provide for the local people.

Our major species were identified and a children's book was created to educate youth on the need for conservation.  The theme of this book was to replace the zodiac signs with ZOOdiac signs by month.  Now, children have an endangered animal to help preserve and protect based on their birth month.  If you notice below, each animal is specific to a month of the year.

ZOODIAC KIDS and our conservation fund were born.
